A quick look back, because 2013 was a great year for us...
The oliebollen have now dropped and the champagne has run out... But before we go full speed ahead again, a quick look back, because 2013 was another great year for us that we like to think back on. A short summary for you below.
Milk/caramel/sea salt crowned the winner!
And we have a winner! At the beginning of this year we added the milk chocolate bar with caramel and sea salt to our regular bar range. You liked this limited edition the most of the three bars. And secretly with us too…
Tony's first annual FAIR report
We would of course like to tell you in detail what we are doing. But we don't want to bore anyone with it. That is why we launched our first annual FAIR report this year in our own way: with speakers such as Teun van de Keuken and Miki Mistrati and a party that was provided with cheerful notes by Chef'Special. Bean to Bar bar
Yes! In June the time has come: our very first 'Bean to Bar' bar, made from fully traceable cocoa, is a fact. Made with cocoa from farmers from ABOCFA (Ghana) and Ecookim (Ivory Coast) who we regularly shake hands with personally. An important step on our way to 100% slave-free chocolate!
Global Slavery Index
In October, the first Global Slavery Index published: a report that maps modern slavery. We are very aware of the figures contained therein. Yet they remain shocking.
So, that was Tony's 2013 in a nutshell. We are really looking forward to next year, because there are a lot of great things to come. We will keep you informed again and hope to see you soon. A chocotastic 2014!
Limited editions
In October we launched three temporary limited edition flavors. Milk & coconut & almond & cinnamon, pure & meringue & cherry and milk & cookie & chili peppers were not on the shelves for very long in many places. So take it with you if you do come across a set. We will soon announce which of the three flavors we will add to our regular range.
