two new serious Classics in dark milk 42%

That's more cocoa and more impact! Dark milk? Yes... that's full, creamy milk chocolate with the crunch and taste of dark chocolate. Our new dark milk chocolate contains more cocoa and is slightly less sweet than the trusted Tony's milk chocolate with 32% cocoa. The intense chocolate flavor and creamy mouthfeel make it irresistibly delicious! We have made a bar with dark milk chocolate once before, in the first Limited Editions in 2011. And even more good news:not one, but two new Classics
The dark milk chocolate forms the basis for two keepers in our Classics rainbow: dark milk 42% in light blue (logical, because it is also a bit light pure) and dark milk 42% pretzel toffee in purple. Pretzel toffee had been on our wish list for a long time, but it was a long search for the perfectly chopped pieces of pretzel to get it into the bar properly. This combination has been spotted in 'the USA', where we have been working hard since 2015 to make 100% slave-free chocolate the norm. Bretzel, pretzel, pretzl or breze... it doesn't matter how you spell it, but it is certain that this salty snack is a tasty combination with our new, dark milk chocolate.

Bars for to be taken seriously..
..because more cocoa = more impact. To make a dark milk bar you need about 9% more cocoa beans than for a milk chocolate bar. And you probably remember that we purchase the cocoa beans according to our recipe for slave-free cocoa. Not? Well, pay attention, we would like to explain it further.

We purchase our cocoa beans directly from our partner cooperatives in Ghana and Ivory Coast and trace the cocoa beans from farmer's cooperative to bar. We pay the farmers a higher price, on top of the basic cocoa price. We also work with farmers in the long term, together we increase productivity and quality and strengthen cooperatives. This way, farmers can earn a living income and abuses on cocoa plantations, such as slavery and exploitation, will come to an end.

Your impact
More cocoa in your bar and new bars means that we need more cocoa beans and we can work with more farmers according to our recipe for slave-free cocoa. With every bite you eat you participate and contribute to a slave-free chocolate world! Because only together can we make all chocolate 100% slave-free.

  • Dark milk 42% has been available since July 31, 2017 at most Tony's points of sale, including Tony's store and the webshop. Of course, it depends on when and if your store includes the bars in its range.
  • Dark milk 42% pretzel toffee has been available since July 31 at Bijenkorf, Marqt, Wereldwinkels, Waar!, Jamin, gift and delicatessen stores, of course Tony's store and webshop and from August 28 also at Albert Heijn.
